Easy Garter Stitch Stripe Scarf

Hello!

I don't have school on Monday and Tuesday cos of public holiday..

AND, that means, more time for KNITTING!

I started this scarf on Sunday, and it's half done, so that's pretty good by my standard.

Here is the pattern that I used.

Horizontal Garter Stitch Stripe Scarf

Materials used:

7mm knitting needles

Moda Vera Passion (100% Acrylic) - Tension: 11.5 stitches x 17 rows for (10x10)cm square

Size:

Approx. 6 inches in width

(I'm still working on the length)

Pattern:

Cast on 16 stitches

Row 1 (right side): Knit

Row 2 (wrong side): Purl

Repeat Row 1 and 2 once.

Row 5, 6, 7, 8: Knit

Repeat Row 1 to 8 until you get your desired length.

It's such an easy and quick pattern to work with, great for beginners!

My Unfinished Project

If you were anything like me, you would understand why I have so much trouble working on projects that can be finished in several hours.

Cos well, I wouldn't want to move an inch till I get it done.

That means, skipping meals, neglecting homework, staying up late etc etc etc....

So I thought, well, may be I'll knit a scarf!

It would take me a few days, may be weeks, since I'm such an unskilled knitter..

But then, that sadly leads to another problem..

I get so bored with my current project that I find it such a chore to knit it..

I start looking for more knitting patterns and I spend more time searching than knitting the scarf.

So I gave up, and I thought, I'll leave this unfinished scarf and may be start on a new one.

And hopefully, I will get back to it and actually finish it in a near future.

It's not bad, half way done, probably a bit more than half the length (:

And, of cos, I started working on yet another scarf

(can't live without having any project to work on...I'm addicted)

The new pattern is much easier to knit and much quicker too, I can't wait till it's finished.

I'll show it to you and share the pattern next time, when it's done (:

Easy Knitted Ear Warmer

Hello there (:

I had been neglecting my poor blog and I finally have time to get back to it..

I spent my December in beautiful Australia and had a great time with Mitch.

While I was there, I picked up knitting and I've been knitting since then.

I'm here to share my very first project, PINK EAR WARMER!

I didn't go all fancy with different stitches.

All I did was learn to do the cast-on, knit stitch and bind off.

And if you are like me, who thinks knitting is pretty hard to pick up, well, check out these videos!

You'll be like knitting in a short time, and I mean, REALLY short time!

I did that headband/ear warmer using fluffy yarn, used the knit stitch all the way and I think it turns out pretty - for a beginner like me anyway (:

And for my newest crocheted jewelry collection - RAINBOW~!

Rainbow is the most beautiful combination of colors, and I have been wanting to create something using that beautiful color combo.

I came up with two simple pieces that will go with your tee-and-jean outfits or with your girlie dress. It could be a fun way to accessorize you little black dress too.

I'll add in the details once I get them added to my Etsy Shop.

Right now, I think I should be catching up with my Physics :(

P.S : Sorry about the photo again - taken at night...again..Do you see that a bit darkish area on the right of the photo? Yeah, I don't like that =.= anyway..I'll take better photos tomorrow to post it on my Etsy.

I swore last night that I'd do Maths this morning..but look what I actually ALMOST ALWAYS end up doing! :P

Photoshoot - Part 1

16th July - It was such a special day...

I did a photoshoot with sweet and lovely Victoria (Yim Photography). Location was Chinese Garden.

I love greenery, HUGE grass fields, lots of trees, forests, tranquil river......you get it! I love nature. But, well, you don't get that a lot in Singapore, frankly. Everyday, on my way to work and back, I will admire the hugeee grass field right outside the Chinese Garden. It looks so amazing when you look at it from MRT.

But nope, that's not the case when you actually have to work on it, I'm telling ya! It's wet, muddy with a lot of holes. Well, there are some parts that are actually nice to walk on, but we happened to pick the wrong spots at first.. :P

Diyanah, a really close friend of mine, as well as my "student" (I'm tutoring her for her O'level :P) joined me and she was my unofficial stylist! HEHE...she said she feels like an assistant, carrying all our bags..:P Sorry, diy, and thanks so much for that day! You are awesome. (:

I did almost everything right for that day..I mean, it was my first time ever photoshoot and gosh, I didn't know how to prepare for it....you know, so many things to sort out - clothes, make-up, props...etc.

Anyway, before showing the photos, here are the list of things that I should have done/I did (and they work!) :

(You can call them tips from me, I guess :P)

- Book a photographer that you know you will be comfortable with! Yepp, I can't actually imagine having a guy taking photos...I'd be self-conscious and all (may be it's just me). But, Victoria was really amazing! She made me talked a lot and helped me relax hehe..and we had great fun! She's so friendly and I felt like I'd known her for ages.

- Bring a close friend! Yep, I definitely did it right! (: Diy helped me with hair, poses, make-up, everything! She and Victoria did a great job making me laugh too :P And you might feel awkward posing - unless you're a model - so having a close friend around will really help you chill.

- Bring a LOT of props! I wish I brought more props - like books, flowers, balloons, etc...You can never have too many of them (: I did have fun with my crocheted roses and yarns thou!

- Bring some hair accessories. LIKE, seriously, how did I forget that! I didn't even have my hair band...let alone hair-spray..But Diy and Victoria brought some hair clips, so, we managed to change my hair style a bit :P

- Wear one accessory that really pops! (: For me, I REALLY love how my yellow shoes really really stand out! You don't want to wear too many and look messy too! (: Keep it simple and special. (:

My Funky Dictionary

Hi ya! (: How is everyone doing?

Been awhile since I updated my blog, I've been horrible! :P

I kind of stop making cards now, I've found a new hobby - Crocheting. If you know me, I've been crocheting for awhile now, but most of appliques are for my cards.

But now, I started making jewelries and I enjoy it a lot! (: I'll be sharing some of them pretty soon, after I get them photographed.

I was tidying up my craft table and I thought I'd throw away my dictionaries since I don't use them anymore and I don't like keeping stuffs that I hardly/never use. But, I remember that pencil holder and wanted to make my own version!

Just Flying by to Say....

I'm so so happy that the card that I posted yesterday was featured on Penny Black's fan page on Facebook! :D And my Easter Balloon Card was chosen as one of the honorable mentions over at Wee Memories. So yay! (:

Anyway, I saw this cute mouse in this cute stamp, and the way that little mouse is hanging on the balloon inspired me.

I substituted with the heart balloons that I crocheted, and yep, I just thought I'd go with a cute sentiment! I hope you like it! (:

Crochet Balloons Stole my Heart!

Hellooo, how you doing? (:

Just popping in to share this card with you! (: Oh my gosh, I'm in love with crocheting those tiny, fun embellishment for my cards!

First thing first - this card is inspired by this photo from Tuesday Trigger on Moxie Fab World site.

When I saw this photo, I see FUN colors and of cos, I was inspired to use my colorful embroidery threads as well! :D I just bought them yesterday, actually...and I made this card this morning :P

And since this week theme for Wee Memories challenge is "Party Time!", I just have to make a birthday card, with well, BALLOONS! :D

The balloon pattern is by sweet Elisabath over at Calleigh's Clips & Crochet Creations. I didn't crochet the balloon tails thou, I thought it looks better to leave a string, instead of the tails like she did. (: But yep~! That's the only balloon crochet pattern I can find on the net, and it's perfect! :D

I hope you like it..Those two cute mice are by Penny Black, btw. And the original stamp looks like this!

And yep, I used balloons, instead of flowers. It is such a sweet sweet stamp! (:

This stamp gotta be one of my favorite! So, yep, I'm entering this card to June challenge over at Penny Black at All Sorts. This month theme is to create something with ur favorite stamp..

Water - A Short Story

There's no card to share with you today (: I've been making mini cards (4 in x 4 in) and figure I'd share all those mini cards with you once I'm done. (:

I just want to share a short story with you today. It's written by Mitch, here is his blog : http://forlackofpaper.blogspot.com/

He's always been helping me with craft stuff and always being so sweet and supportive! I bet he knows more bout craft stuff than most of my girlfriends! :P

So anyway, I thought I'd share one of his newest short story with you. (:

Water

"As the world's water supply crisis continues to escalate, the U.S. government raises the reward for a real solution. Amateur inventors worldwide are racing to--" James turned off the TV; he'd already heard it online anyway. He called out to his wife, Alice, "I'm going out shopping, love."

"Not this again! You know we're low on water, we won't be able to survive soon." He could hear the resignation in her voice.

"Trust me, I'll win that reward, and we'll never have to go thirsty again!"

"Alright hun...be careful though, don't spend too much."

"I won't." He said, grabbing the keys and a bottle. She said this every time...but he knew he could do it. And he had to provide for his soon expanding family.

Once outside, the heat outside was excruciating, and not many people were out. At least the walk to the hardware store wasn't too far.

The inside of the hardware store wasn't too much better, but Jack sighed in relief when he stepped inside. At least there were a couple of fans on the ceiling, spinning at maximum speed. He started making his way around the store, picking up the pieces and tools he needed, and greeting the shopkeeper.

"Hey Ralph, how goes it?"

"Mornin' James, business is good of course with the news. I guess you're here for the same reason as everyone else?"

"Yep, but I've got a really good lead right now, for a pure water extraction and recycling combination."

"Well, good luck!"

A young man, just out of his teenage years, butted into the conversation, "What a boring idea! I'm eliminating the need to drink water at all, so we'll only need water for growing."

James and Ralph just ignored him: people like him came in to brag all the time, but no-one had claimed the reward yet, so it was obvious they just enjoyed bragging to start conversation.

"No, really!" The young man exclaimed, "I've finished testing on mice, and I only have to change a few things to make it work on humans."

James held out his hand, "Well, good luck kid."

"...Thanks." He replied, obviously disappointed. He ignored the hand and stalked off to browse another section.

James rolled his eyes at Ralph, "Anyway, just these ones thanks."

"Alright, that'll be 800mL."

The next few days, though they passed in a blur for James, were long and painful for his wife. Alice's usually happy days, spent sharing the house-work with her husband while chatting about his ideas, her plans for the future, and the regular day-to-day things, had been replaced. Now he was back in his "dungeon" - his design room in the basement...it had been years since he'd spent most of his days down there, and Alice had forgotten how hard those times were, when she'd only see James for mealtimes, and the occasional sleep.

While she was usually happy to have an inventor for a husband, living comfortably off royalty cheques while both of them could stay at home, this was too much! She barely seemed to have a husband now, and it was the worst timing, when they were getting ready for their first child!

Alice made her decision: she stormed up to the basement door and slammed it open.

"James! At least come and spend one night with me!" Alice was fuming - red-cheeked and with buzzing in her ears..*Buzzing...not a good sign,* she thought.

She continued in a softer voice, "I'll still do all the work on the kid's room, just take a lazy night off and relax with me..."

*Damn* thought James, *guilt tripped*

"Alright love, I'm coming up." He replied.

Alice exhaled deeply and smiled, "...Thank god. I really didn't want to have to fight with you."

"Me either, you always win!" He joked, grinning back wearily at her.

James climbed the steps, hugging Alice when he reached the top.

A few minutes later, they were sitting together on the couch with microwave meals (she must have really meant a lazy night) and watching an old drama movie. Alice relaxed against James' shoulder, and he wrapped his arm around her.

"Hey, I'm sorry for not spending time with you, love"

Alice didn't reply; she was staring off into nowhere.

"Hey, something up?"

She shook herself out of it and looked at James' worried face, "Sorry hun," she replied, "Do you hear a buzzing noise? I noticed it earlier and it hasn't stopped."

He cocked his head, "Now that you mention it, I do..sounds like a low-flying plane or something." He walked outside and looked up, coughing slightly at a tickle in his throat. Alice followed a step behind him.

A small red crop-duster plane flew dangerously low overhead, seeming to barely clear some rooftops. As they stared incredulously, James recognised the pilot: it was the kid from the hardware store! *What's he up to?*he thought *at least there's no pesticide dropping out, or at least not enough left to be visible.*

"Come inside," he said to Alice, "We don't want to inhale too much of that."

As they stepped inside, they noticed a news anchor had replaced the zombies on screen.

"--bring you this important news update. Pharmacuetical company BioPlus has just announced a press-conference tomorrow morning, to announce a solution to the water crisis. As the news spreads, amateur inventors are rushing release on their ideas, some showing directly to the government--" Alice turned the T.V. off and hugged her husband.

"Oh dear...I'm so sorry..." She buried herself in his chest, tears hanging in her eyes.

"Why for?" he replied, "Now we won't need to worry! We won't need to worry about where our kids are going to get their next drink, and those royalties will still keep us going for a while if we play it safe." He smiled and patted her back.

"Really?" she sniffed, and looked up at him.

"Really." He moved to kiss her and held her close. "Everything will be alright." he said, and was sure of it.

----

Morning found sunlight streaming onto James and Alice, who were still on the couch from the night before. They had fallen asleep in front of the T.V the night before, having turned it on again soon after the news update.

"Welcome to the 7 O'Clock morning news. Country-wide chaos has spread after last night's claim by BioPlus, that they had the solution to the water crisis. It was announced early this morning that the claim was a hoax, created by a few unhappy workers wanting to damage the company's reputation.

The claim caused a lot more damage than that though, as some rogue inventors released their untested 'fixes' on the general public. Some of these fixes have had no effect, others causing adverse effects, and some may even be working - the extent of the damage so far is unknown.--"

James' eyelids flickered as the sunlight warmed his face, and as he listened, he realised he wasn't even thirsty; he hadn't even had a drink the night before. *Maybe...* But it was too early to think, he was tired...he decided to close his eyes again for a little longer.

Alice's never even opened.

Floating Easter Eggs

How's your weekend? Mine is great! Yesterday was our 2 years anniversary and I spent all day with Mitch, watching movies and playing games and just chatting bout random stuff...bliss (:

And I made this card really late at night (: And yes, you might be wondering what's up with the blog title, lol! :P Those "balloons"..they are actually Easter Eggs from Studio G (Clear stamp set). I won that clear stamp together with a stack of patterned papers from a blog giveaway! (: When I first received the giveaway, I was thinking, I'd never use those Easter Eggs, since I don't even celebrate Easter! (: But hey, they look pretty good as balloons too! :P

I stamped the "balloons" in different colors using my Dew Drops. Cut them out and "tie" them with Baker's Twine. And I popped the balloons with dimensions, and I doubled the dimension foams for some balloons, so that they're really popping out. (: Here are the a few close-ups!

Those stickers are from my sister, she bought them long time ago..the adhesive is not even sticky anymore, but I thought they go with the balloons! (:

I think this card is perfect to give to your little girl who did well in her school exam, or whatever and make you proud ;) When I was younger, my mum always buy me mini congrats cards whenever I do well in exams..And that inspires me to make a congrats card for a kid! :D

Yep, I disappeared, for like a week? I got back into crocheting, and didn't have time to blog/not in the mood to blog for a few days hehe :P

Anyway, I made some crocheted flowers and I used 3 of them on this card. I used those heart buttons too, aren't they just sooo adorable?!

That card was pretty fast to make, the only hard part is making those 3 flowers. And those clouds!

I'm so glad they turned out just fine (: I used cotton ball and some glue to stick the cotton on the stamped cloud. The cloud stamp is from Imaginisce's latest line - Happy Camper. I just love that cloud stamp - its so cute! (:

Hi there! (:

Here is a little heart mobile that I made for Mitch for our 2nd anniversary! :D

I had soo much fun making it, and it is so easy to do! Especially if you have a huge heart punch. (:

I hand-cut all my hearts, and it was tedious, but, hey, I don't mind! (:

And those tiny hearts at the bottom, they are actually buttons, and I sticked 2 buttons together to make it look like a bead. Here is the close-up on those 'beads'.

And in the middle is a little note for Mitch, sorry if it's too cheesy for your taste *GRINS*..hehe..

I used all the different patterned papers in BoBunny's Crush collection, they have 9 paper designs and I made 9 hearts out of them. I just LOVE that paper line!

I made my first wedding card, ever! :P I keep it CAS style with not much coloring and no patterned papers. The image is from Lilli of the Vally. Isn't it so gorgeous?! I just love this image! (:

The cardstock is dry embossed. i I think it makes the card look elegant. I think you can't see the pattern on the card in the previous photo, so here is a close-up one! Hopefully you can see it now! (:

Hello! As I promised, I'm back with second post of the day!

It's midnight here, and I just got back from work...I'm still in my work's uniform :P

I just have to post this card for DYSU challenge - Animals! *MEOW* Linky is closing in 4 hours and I don't wanna miss it! hehe :D This is my second entry too! :D

Anyway, for this card, I colored with Derwent InkTense Pencils, and Glossy Accents is added to the hearts!

I hope you like it! :D Today is my sister and her hubby's 8th anniversary, and I gave this card to my niece, so she can give it to my sis and her hubby, hehe :D My niece is so happy but that card ended in my 2-year-old nephew, I'm hoping he didn't tear it apart!

Hello there! :D

I'm back with another card :D And this one's for DYSU challenge - Animals! :D

So, I made this card cos one of my juniors from secondary school wanted an anniversary card for her parents. But...the thing is she didn't like the bunny picture :(... So I really want to know what you think bout this card, is it that bad? :P

Anyway, I changed the focal image to the same picture that I used for the card in my previous post, and I got this! (: She likes it...phew...

And here's the close-up on my coloring (: I used Derwent InkTense Pencils and Glossy Accents.

I hope everyone is having a great time! My parents are coming back from Burma today. (: Today's gonna be a busy day....I need to go to NUS this morning to accept the offer to study Bioengineering degree there. Today is the last day to accept the offer and I've been procrastinating it! LOL...

Hello there! :D

Weekend is here, this week just flew past for me! I got an acceptance email from Flinders Uni, but the course that I picked won't start till next February. So, I'm just trying to change my course, so that I can start in July. I hope they will reply me soon! (:

My parents went back to Myanmar for about a week, so it's quieter at home. I'm not used to not having them around.

Anyway, for today's card, I actually made it for Mitch for our 2nd anniversary. (: So yep, he's not allowed to check my blog till he gets the card! *evil grins* :P

I used a stamp from LOTV. I'm in love with their stamps! And, I found a way to stamp a sharp image without having to mount or use an acrylic block. :D All I had to do was ink up the stamp, put it face up on a smooth surface, place a white cardstock carefully on the stamp and press it down evenly. You can use a bone folder to make sure every part of the image is transferred from the stamp to the paper. Of cos, you have to be really careful not to move the paper, or you own't get a sharp image. I got it in my first try - so I don't think it's that tedious. :D

I colored this image using Derwent Inktense pencils and added some Glossy Accents. Here is the close up of the image, hope you can see the Glossy Accents on it! (:

I love love that button flower and the Embroidery Floss too! :D

Hi there! How you doing today? (:

I'm back with my second entry to DYSU challenge. Before that, I just want to share a piece of good news with you - I won a blog candy by Yenni Natalia, woo hoo! :D And, one of my cards was picked as an Honorable Mention on Wee Memories for last week challenge! :D You can view that card HERE.

For today's card, I used Spring Time by TAC. It is such a gorgeous set and I always wanted to created a scenery card and this is my first attempt! I kind of like it! (: The clouds are hand drawn btw - I used my Copic marker. (:

I added Glossy Accent on the sentiment and the leaves, I hope you can see them on my last picture. It's so hard to capture the glossiness on the photos, don't you think?

I really hope you like it! :D It's kind of different to my usual style! (: Tell me what you think! (:

This is nothing related to card making but I thought this video is interesting, so I'm sharing it! (:

I'm working part-time as a sale assistant in Guardian (it's a "Health and Beauty Store"), and its just funny how people are willing to spend so much on beauty products and I start wondering, do those stuffs really work at all? And those products are like full of chemicals and people are still willing to use them. May be it's just me, but those products kind of scare me. Anyway, I wouldn't say this video tells both sides of the story, but still, it's entertaining and worth watching! (: Hope you enjoy it!

Celery, White, & Sea Glass Blue?

Hello and welcome! :D

I'm just popping in to share this card which is made for DYSU challenge! It is a color challenge to use celery, white and sea glass blue. I hope my blue is, well, qualified for the challenge - I'd say its more like a 'deep' sea glass blue.

Anyway, my card is inspired by this card by Jenny Suchin - I'm sure you know her (:

For this card, I used Graphic Blooms by TAC. I popped the first and third sections of the paper pieces using dimensions, I hope you can see it in the picture! And I added those blings in the center of the blooms, as a final touch.

Happy weekends! What are your plans for this weekends?

Like I promised in my previous post, I'm back with a blue blue card! :D

I used Snag 'Em Stamps (Imaginisce) - Whale and Little Bundle of Joy. I'm soo in love with those tiny little stamps by Imaginisce!

I colored those little hearts using Derwent InkTense Pencils and add a shine with Glossy Accents. Don't you think those whales are just so ADORABLE?!

Hello there! Aren't you just glad today is Friday?! :D I know I am!

I have a day-off from work tmr! So looking forward to it! :D

Anyway, DYSU is having a DT call and I finally sort of have a courage to try out for DT calls and so yep, I added my name to their call! I love their challenges - they're real fun.

And also, Wee Memories is having a giveaway, so you have to check it out! (: If you haven't played in their challenges, you're missing out on a lot of fun, I'm telling you! :D

To today's card, ah yes, it's PINK! Are you getting sick of my pinky cards? :P I just noticed my last 2 cards that I shared are also pink....Promise, I'll share some blue cards with you tmr.

I don't have the card with me anymore *sobs* cos a friend of mine bought it off me. My card is inspired by (read : copied from) this card by Andrea Walford. She's like one of my fav. stampers, I've been following her blog for bout 2 years now!

I added a few twists of my own, like using floral corner puncher and stamping the background, using leaf stamp from TAC's Spring Time.

I'm back with a sweet, pinky card! :D I bought those lovely buttons from Paper Market and I'm loving them!

I want to enter this week challenges over at Wee Memories and CAS-ual Fridays and YEP, I made with those 2 challenges in mind. That "Cute as a Button" sticker is by Mrs. Grossman's (card captions - baby). I don't normally use stickers but I gave it a shot for Wee Memories' challenge.

And those flowers..I'll show you a close-up pics!

They're so tedious to make lol..I used Embroidery Floss - ah, I used up all my twines and the craft store nearby isn't selling them. It took me like an hour to make those 3 button flowers, and I kind of like how they turned out.

The frame, little butterflies and flowers are by Prima Marketing. And I added Glossy Accents on my vines.

It's a Girl!

Hi there! Hope you're having a great weekend! (:

I'm back with another card using Imaginisce Snag' Em Stamp. This time I used "It's a Girl" stamp, which is sooo ADORABLE! I wanted to paper-piece and yep, that's exactly what I did! (:

I can't remember the brand of the patterned paper that I used, but it's like the perfect one for paper piecing since it has so many little squares with different patterns in just one paper.

I took a photo of the patterned paper with my little cute bibs.

I drew those black lines with my marker and added some color with my Copic. That bow is added to make it extra girly! :P I hope you like it! (:

I can't find any challenge to enter yet...I just kind of made this card without actually looking for challenges and trying to meet the requirements/themes.

Hi there! How you doing?

I'm back with these cutie whales! :D Arent they just so adorable?! This whale stamp is from Imaginisce. I LOVE their tiny acrylic stamps or should I say "Snag' em Stamps"? :P I bought 5 Snag' em stamps the other day, and can't wait to use all of them! :D

For this card, I also used the cloud from Imaginisce - Rainbow. But, I manage to mask out the rainbow part and just used the cloud. And, I colored the sky using my Copic markers. I didn't know how I want my card to be, and I just went with the flow, and yes, I actually colored the sky on my cardstock, and so glad I didn't mess it all up! Then, I drew in those waves, and stamped the sentiment "I love you" from TAC - Trendy Greetings.

I really hope you like it! It's so much different from my usual style, but I like it! :D

Just popping in to share one of the cards that I have created. (: I've been making cards a lot but I decided to submit them for magazine publication call, so yeah, I can't post them on my blog just yet.

They have a whole range of rubber stamps, and they're not clear stamps or wood-mounted. The stamps have Cling back and they're so easy to store too.

And yes, hedgies are back! :D I made this card for Penny Black at AllSorts challenge (black, white and one more colour). I picked red! This is for a friend of mine, he bought it from me yesterday, for his classmate or something. He likes it and I am so glad! :DD

Hey there! :D

I'm back with another card! :D I made it for this week DYSU Challenge, scallops! :D I love how I managed to align all those 9 squares together. It took me several tries to come up with this so-called "sketch" for this card. :D

Oh yes, those adorable patterned papers are from "BoBunny", Crush series. I haven't been using patterned papers, and was looking for a way to use some. So yep, I've managed to use almost all the designs in that Crush series. Aren't those little birdies just so adorable?!

And those heart eyelets, I LOVE THEM. I bought them from Ebay long time ago. I think I gotta stock up on those. And Baker's Twine is added as a final touch. Oh, and four of the squares are popped-up using dimensions. Hope you can see them! I think you can see better in the tiny pic below, you can click on it to enlarge the pic.

Anyway, I really hope you like my card! :D

If you have a set of patterned papers of the same theme, which I'm sure you do, why not try making one like mine? Its pretty fun and it'll be a lot easier if you use your dies. I don't have die-cutting machine, so I used my scalloped scissors.

Hello ladies! :D

I know...I've disappeared for like a week, LOL! I was making a card set for moxie fab challenge and I'm finally done with that! There are four cards in the card set and I'll share 2 of them with you today! :D

I wanted to share all the cards in one post, but yeah, it's night time here and can't take good photos without natural lighting.

For this card set, I use the adorable Rainbow stamp from Imaginisce. For the pink one, I stamped the rainbow in Pink as well. And for the green one, I stamped it in Pear Tart. Then, color in using Copic markers. I LOVE using Copic markers for coloring background, cos it blends in so well, and it almost looks like a patterned paper! :D Then, I added Glossy Accents on the cloud.

The sentiment's background is also the same rainbow pic, and colored in lightly using Copic markers. And, I added those Baker's Twines, they are so fun! :D

Crocheted Flowers~

I have a piece of goood news! I was walking back home at bout 11 pm last night and I thought I'd hop to Wee Memories Blog just to see the winners for last week challenge. And GUESS WHAT? I was chosen as Honorable Mention with this card! I am soo happy! (:

Anyway, I made today's card like 4 days ago or something! And those flowers...they were so hard to make at first =.=. But I've got the hang of it, so yeah, it is easier now! This card is made based on Clean and Simple Sketch 133. And yes, I'm a week late for that challenge, LOL. And the colors are based on Shabby Tea Room Photo Inspiration.

Oh my gosh, guess what?! I've received my first Blog Award from Diane. Thank you so muchh, Diane, that means a lot to me! (: I just got to know her awhile back. Her cards are too adorable and cute! And she has 2 most adorable kids! :D

So, I'll have to share 7 random things bout myself and pass on the award to 15 bloggers. I asked Mitch to tell me 7 random things bout me and here are what he comes up with and some of my own points as well.

1) I'm dating a cute Australian (LOL, yep, those are the exact words he told me :D). So yep, I'm with my funny, witty, handsome and charming boyfriend, Mitch, for close to 2 years now and I'm totally in love with him.

2) I'm the youngest in my family and loving it! I have one brother and sister.

3) I'm going to attend University of South Australia starting from July. I'm happily on holiday right now! :D

4) Ummm..other than card making and crafty stuff, I love playing online games, flash games, and games on my iPhone. In fact, I was so obsessed with gaming before I got into card making. :P

5) More than half of my wardrobe is PINK! WHOOPS!....I'm trying to add more colours to my wardrobe lately thou xD

6) You won't see me going out without my eyeshadows and lipgloss on! :P I love make-ups. :D

7) Crocheting is my latest obsession (I meant "passion"). I do quilling as well and I love to incorporate different forms of craft into my cards. That's why you'll see me using crocheted flowers in my cards! hehe :D

For the Love of Purple

Just popping in to share this card that I made based on Less Is More sketch. I made this card a few days ago, but just didn't have time to update the blog.

Sunday was my day-off from work, so I laze around at home the whole day, and then, I went for a swim with my family in the evening! It was so much fun! :D Tomorrow is my day-off as well, so yay! :D

Anyway, about the card, I knew I wanted to use a crochet flower as a focal. But yeah, that flower was my third attempt and I still don't think it's perfect. I guess I need to use different yarn. This yarn is a mixed of purple, white and pink. I thought it would be pretty to use colourful yarn to make flowers. But I thought wrong, really. It's better to just use single-coloured ones and probably combine them to make flowers.

Those flowers stamped in black is from Imaginisce (Flower Cluster). I bought them like a month ago but didn't know how to use them. :P But yea, I used it on this card and I like the look of it! I added Glossy Accents, just to make it look a bit more interesting.

I know I have been quiet for a few days..hehe..But, I was on a mission! :P I took up crochet again!

I learnt to crochet from my granny when I was like 10 or something. But I gave up cos there were no proper guides to make flowers and I couldn't follow patterns from the crochet books. Now that I have youtube video tutorials, it becomes so so easy to make pretty flowers! (:

So, I made these 2 flowers using embroidery floss by following a youtube video tutorial.

Here's the part - 2 of roses and vines!

For this card, I used Glossy Accent on my roses, just to give them a little bit of interest. The sentiment is stamped using Rocket Red. Then, I wrapped my white card stock with twines, sticked it to the green card stock and ta-da, it's done! (: Just to further embellish my card, I sewed silver beads at the four corners.

Hi there! (:

I just want to share this card with you! I had so much for making this card! It is really clean and simple. What's more! It's one-layered! I'm in love with making CAS cards lately! :D And yes, I used the stamp set from Prima Marketing again! The set is "Fairy Flora Butterflies".

This time, I used that lovely vine and the rose image. I stamped the vines using Memento (Pear Tart) and the roses in Dew Drop (Rocket Red). I added those butterflies which are embellished with pearls just to add more details to the card. Then, I punched a rectangle on my card-stock.

The sentiment is first stamped using Dew Drop (Moonlight White) and then, stamped again in Tuxedo Black. I really love the look of it! (: What do think about it?

Hello friends! :D

I hope everyone is doing well after the tragedy in Japan and the tsunami warnings in Pacific regions...

On a lighter note, I just want to share this card with you. I need to hide my "Fairy Flora Butterfly" Clear Stamp set from Prima soon! This is my third card using that gorgeous stamp!

The focal image is a heart, I hope you can see it! I masked a heart shape and stamped using Rocket Red for the butterflies and Dandelion for the flowers. All my ink pads are Dew Drop. And I sewed the pearls on the butterflies and ta-da! It's done. It was a lot of masking and I didn't know if it will turn out all right, but I'm quite happy with the result.

And I stamped the sentiment on the card-base using TAC's Trendy Greetings. Those dots are from TAC's Friendship Strips. The flowers on the red paper are stamped using Moonlight White.
It's really clean and simple, just the way I like it!

Ah....more butterflies from me! :P whoops....I just cant get enough of those little butterflies from Prima! This is a one-layer card and I simply love it!I first drew out the pattern for the butterflies and then stamped using 2 colours. Didn't know I would like the look of green and purple together. (:

And those pearls and beads are sewed on the card-base. And then, I stamped the sentiment from TAC. I felt like something's missing, so i added that tiny greenish butterflies near the sentiment and topped it up with glossy accent! Easy-preasy!(:

Hi there!

Been awhile since I last updated my blog (& actually made a card). A lot happened during this few weeks - my GCE A'level result came out, I had to sit for IELTS exam and finally deciding on what to study next. Anyway, everything's back to normal now, so yay! :D

For today's card, I used my brand new stamp set from The Angel Company - Friendship Strips. And those butterflies are from Prima Marketing. I actually made the tag first and I really like how it turns out. So I thought I'd make a matching card too! The flower is hand-made using a lace and I added pearls in the middle! Hope you like it!

Hi ya!

Today's card is inspired by this card by Joan Ervin. And I'm entering this card to this week challenge at Wee Memories. The challenge is to make a card inspired by craft magazine, favorite designer, etc.

I really love her layout and I just had to make a card using it! The lovely image is from Penny Black, of cos! I added glossy accent on the pic as well as on the patterned paper from Fancy Pants (Love Birds). I think u can sort of see the glossy affect on the second picture (:

Oh and those pearl pins! I think they are really pretty so I took/stole them from mum.

Just popping in to share this card with you!

I was inspired by this week clean & simple sketch. But I added a lot of twists, so can't enter my card to their gallery nimore! But I love how my card turns out!

For this card, I used my really old stamp from Vap Scrap (shoe). I've seen many shoe stamps but this one i still my favorite! I stamped it on patterned paper from "BoBunny" Crush collection and cut the shoes out really carefully....and I added glossy accents, so I've got myself "shiny new shoes"! Lame, I know. (:

I really love using blue and pink together! The background is stamped using a tiny heart stamp from Prima. I hope you like it!

Oh, and I wont be making card often for next two weeks cos I have IELTS exam coming up and I gotta study for it! Wish me luck!

Today is my day-off from work, so I managed to make a card! Yay! :D

This card is based on Stamping 411 Sketch #189. It is a simple sketch and I like it!

I try to use 'stamping' more in my cards. Those heart-borders are from my really old stamp set. It is my first ever stamp set, actually. I can't even remember the brand, lol.

I coloured the hearts on the card-base using copic marker (RV34) just to add some interest.

Been a few days since I updated my blog. Yesterday morning, I was on facebook and I came across a beautiful card by Karen using Sweet Sunday Sketch 101. So, yep, I just have to play using that sketch!

Those cute image is from penny black inc. I stamped another image and cut out the hearts from the second image. And I used foam tape to pop those hearts on the first image. I love how it turns out! My niece was teasing me if she could pick those heart-fruits :P For the hedgehogs, I used sakura aqualip pen (yellow) and highlighted them. They turned out a bit too yellowish, but I think they still look alright...

Hope everyone is having a good day! (: i had a rather quiet day at work, but time passed quickly, so yay! :D
Anyway, I made this card last night and finished it up today after work (: I just LOVE this stamp! Those cute mice are so much fun to colour! I think I'll make more cards with those penny black cuties! :D I added some dimensions by using foam tape. Those cute banners are from Fancy Pants Design.
I used Stamping 411 sketch #186 for this card. I think the sketch is perfect for using large stamps.

Today's card is for "Tuesday Throwdown" challenge! The challenge is to stamp the background.

This is quite a challenge for me cos normally, I only stamp the focus image and color it using Derwent InkTense Pencils. For this card, I didn't use many colours, figure I'd try out a monochrome card. And of cos, I'll be entering this card for "Cute Card Thursday" challenge as well (Theme: Monochrome Cards)

I'm just going to share with you the card I created for Card Patterns Challenge Blog, Sketch 98. I'm so excited and grateful to be featured as a guest designer on their amazing challenge blog. Here is how it looks like when you close the card.

It is an amazing sketch and I didn't think of actually making the card so that it has to be opened from the middle. I was just gonna make a typical double-fold card instead of triple-fold. But Mitch gave me the idea, so yay! :D And I think the sketch is perfect for triple folds.

Anyway, for today card, I use the gorgeous sketch from Stamping 411. Here is this week challenge. The design team has made many gorgeous cards and I was especially inspired by Lee Conrey's card.

My niece starts schooling this year (Primary 1) and I had to follow her to school for the past 3 days. It was somewhat fun, but made me extra busy. My part-time job at Cold Storage starts tomorrow. I made this card 2 days ago for CR84FN9 color challenge. I tried to keep it clean and simple. (: The colors are so adorable! All pastel colors! :D

I just want to share this card with you. Those flowers are hand-made. I used Carla Craft flower punch (small) and a pink rhinestones for those cute, tiny flowers (: I love how my flowers match the flowers on my patterned paper (:

I would like to enter this card to 2 challenges at Stamping 411 blog.

First challenge is color inspiration #147. The color combo is wild wasabi, so saffron and rose red. I'm never good at color challenges and I hardly take part in any, but this color combo is too pretty to resist. And I'm happy with my card, yay! (:

And second challenge is a sketch challenge #184. I followed the measurement on the challenge blog for my card just to see how it turns out. (: I think its perfect.

It's past midnight here and I'm still in front of my pc, whoops!

I made this card last night and I just want to share with you! (:
This card is inspired by this very prettty and very PINK pic from Shabby Tea Room.

First time making "Baby" card and I'm glad it turned out quite well. (:
Pink is my favorite color and I had so much fun putting together all my pink papers and ribbons and eyelets for this card!

Anyway, here are the close-ups!

I love those "Hearts" eyelets! I didn't use them as eyelets thou. I just glued them down on the pink ribbon, in between the twines. I hope you like it! Oh, and I'm SO in love with that "love blooms" paper from "Doodlebug Design". Its just so fun and pretty and cheery!

Its been awhile since I last updated my blog, so sorry about that. My computer is not working and its sent to a repair shop. I have no idea when I will be getting it back, hopefully I will get it back real soon. (:

I have a great new to share with you! I made it to Super 6 for Card Patterns Sketch 95. I can't believe it! This is the first time ever for me winning a challenge! (: and I was invited to be a guest designer on their blog. Such an honour.. (:

I'm so in love with those laces. I love how those hand stitches turn out. I don't have a sewing machine (its in my wishlist :P ) but it wasn't too hard to hand-sew them, yay!

Hello there!I just wanna share with you the card I made for Card Patterns Sketch 95.It is such a fun sketch, so I decided to make 2 cards using that gorgeous sketch.I'll be posting the second card after this post. (:

Since Valentine's Day is only 2 months away (epp!), I thought I'd make some cute and romantic cards ;)

I love using black on my cards and this black base looks just perfect to me!I made this card a few days ago, but couldn't share it on the blog cos my computer is having problems. It still is. But, now, I can use it at least. Its having Blue Screen error and it restarts randomly and it is really annoying :(

Anyway, thanks so much for dropping by and hope everyone is having a great time with your family and friends! I'll be watching Tangled (Rapunzel) AGAIN today with my niece and sister. Good thing I LOVE disney cartoons :P I watched it a few weeks ago with my boyfriend and now my sis and niece want me to accompany them. It'll be fun thou!

I used Precious Moments Rubber Stamp and Echo Park Patterned Paper.
Its so fun to make those corner bookmarks and I'll be making more of those! ((:
I'm giving this to my niece since she is returning home from her vacation tonight! *excited*
There is a tutorial on splitcoaststampers.com and I find it really helpful! In fact, I followed all the measurement from the tutorial and that makes it way easier to make.

I just want to share with you the card I made yesterday.

I made this card for Card Patterns challenge, Sketch 94.

Hope you like the card. I'm in love with those little guys from Penny Black. They are all so adorable and so much fun to colour! I added some glitters on the balloons just to dress it up a bit. It is a pretty simple card but I like it. (:

Anyway, its almost 9 pm and I am feeling a little lazy to work on a card. So I'd probably just end up reading a book on my bed till I fall asleep. Hehe..

I have been trying to get a job during my holidays and I went for an in

terview at Charles and Keith. I think I have a good chance of getting the job but I just worry I wouldn't have much time to myself and to spend with Mitch and family.

Ah well..I just hope everything will turn out fine (:

Hello everyone!

I know I have been quiet for bout 2 weeks. Mitch was in Singapore and I had been spending all my time with him (:

It was really fun and we had a great time together.

Just a few pics that we took, I thought I'd share them.

For my today card, I used the sketch from Mojo Monday 168.

I used Precious Moments Stamps. This stamp is just sooo adorable! :D

I had a great time colouring it and I used some glitters on the image, just to dress it up a bit.

I pleated the ribbon and I found this amazing video tutorial by Paulina really helpful!

Hello (:

My exam is ending and I've already been celebrating my (unofficial) freedom! hehe

There is a 9-day break between my 2nd last paper and the last paper which is on 2nd December.

So I've been literally living life as if exams r over! xD

Mitch, my boyfriend, is visiting me on 2nd December from Australia! I'm so excited! :D

I've been busy crafting a little something for him, since he said he loves my handmade gifts teehee~!

So, yea, I'll share with you on my blog after I'm done with it!

Anyway, to the card I'm sharing today, this is for WHAT IF? Wednesday ~ Sketch Challenge N1710.

I'm hooked on the challenges on this awesome blog and I actually made a card for their CASE card challenge, but i didn't like how it turned out, so i'm going to hide it under my bed or something! xD

For this card, I used Prima clear stamp for the tag and the sentiment is hand-written using Sakura Aqualip pens.

I LOVE quilling and i quilled those 2 coffee cups and I love how it turns out! (:

This is a pretty simple card and I hope u like it! (:

By the way, I bought Derwent Inktense pencils from Ebay and I just received them.

So, yea, I would love to hear any suggestion bouit how to use those pencils hehe

How I made this card:

I used Prima Clear Stamp : So Cute. And rhinestones from Prima. Papers are from BoBunny. I used Carl Carla Craft Punch (heart) and trimmed the heart shapes so it looks as if I'd used a border punch! (:

Hello my sweet blog friends! :D

I know I haven't been updating my blog and I just wanna let you know that, YEP, I'M STILL ALIVE! xD

I have A'level Exams coming up next month and it will end on 2nd December. Can't wait! :D

And I'll have bout 6 months of holidays (or a year! If I decided to go to college half a yr later - which will be in 2012).

So, I'll be making lots of cards after exams, but for now, I've kept all my stamps and cardstocks under my bed!

Yep, I have to keep them out of sight, so I won't be tempted to stamp! LOL...

Anyway, I've been just studying and studying and studying :(

That totally sucks! But Mitch keeps me company, so, I won't get too depressed! :D He's so sweet!

Clean And Simple!

First time making a card using those cute stamps from Prima Marketing.

I used glitters for the border and I LOVE the look of it!

For the grasses, I stamped using black ink and added some glitter glue on it~!

I used just one layer for this card and it was pretty quick to make!

Butterfly Kisses~!

I just want to share with you the card I created for "What If? Wednesday Sketch Challenge S2210"

I'm in LOVE with butterflies! They'r soo beautiful and colorful!

This week sketch is so fun to play with (as always) and I had so much fun making this card!

I made this card on Saturday, I think. But I didn't have time to take photo of the card and update the blog cos I've been crazy busy with school and assignments! :(

And I can't take photo of the card at night cos apparently, lights in my room aren't bright enough and the photo is really dull...

Anyway! Both the sentiments and beautiful butterflies are from TLC Creations. I used my Sakura Aqualip gel pen to color my butterfly and the sentiment.

I just love those butterfly punches! Those are from Carla Craft.

I love how I've managed to round the corners using my scalloped scissors!

Mojo Monday Challenge (MOJO157)

Hello all!

I had a crazy morning! I tidied up my room and realized that about half of the clothes I had in my wardrobe aren't wearable anymore. Well...I just don't like them anymore. I kept thinking to myself "Why did I buy those clothes.... :("

So I guess I'm going to donate them to charity or something.

I'm so happy that my wardrobe is half-empty now! :D Finally have room for new stuffs when I do some shopping!

Anyway, today, I want to share with you the card I made 2 days ago. I just couldn't get myself to update the blog.

I made it for Mojo Monday 157. The cutee kitty image and the sentiment is from TLC creations. The kitty is soo adorable! I made this card for Mitch. :D I hope he'll like it! I hope you will like it too!

I'm happy with the color combo that I used. I just didn't think using yellow with pink would be nice. But, I love how it turns out!

School's re-opening on Monday and I still have some assignments to complete.

Hopefully, I'll still have some spare time for card-making.

X'mas and B'day Cards!

Hello all!

Its been like a month (or more) since i updated my Blog.

I was sitting for exam and it was crazy!

Anyway, Im so glad I can get back to card-making (finally!) :D

So I made 2 cards. The first card is using the sketch from What If Wednesday : Sketch Challenge S810

But, I didn't get to add to linky cos I was late :( I just didn't want to update my blog during the exam and I thought I'd still have time to do so after the exams, ah well..

And the second card is using sketch from Saturday Sketch Challenge 169 (Sketch 411).

Both sketches are so fun to play with, I think I'll make more cards using those sketches.

Sunflower~!

Hello there!

I made this card for the challenge on Annebelle Stamps Blog.

I got this Sunflower digital stamp from Create with TLC Blog.

Isn't it just gorgeous!

There are a lot of nice and pretty pictures on the TLC blog and the best part is, they are FREE! :D

And there are also hundreds of nice sentiments! I think I'll be using many pictures from that blog to make my cards! :D

I love love love the card sketch from Annebelle Stamps Blog. It's simple and pretty and so easy to work with!

I used Copic marker to color the leaves. And Sakura Aqualip Gel Pens to color the flower! Those pens are awesome!

I love how this card turn out and I didn't had to spend many hours to finish it! (I normally have to spend like 2 or 3 hrs just to make one card :P)

Pink Rose!

Hello there!

I made this card for "What If? Wednesday" Sketch Challenge.

I love love the sketch and it's so fun to play along! :D

The stamp is from Kiwi Stamping and I love love this stamp.

The rose is so pretty and I love the glossy look!

I used Sakura Aqualip Gel Pens to color the rose petals (I LOVE those pens!) and outline the picture.

The stem and leaves are colored using Copic Sketch BG11 and BG13.

I think I will give this card to one of my teachers for Teachers' Day. (:
